We run training sessions in schools covering:
Basic mental Health awareness
Prevention and self support
Our training is designed to be simple to understand, we break things into manageable chunks and try to use terminology and theory suitable for the age group we are working with. We try to make the best use of our time with you to maximise the impact. Learning is interactive and experiential, we will use the interactions within the training group to explain how contact effects our emotional responses.
We cant say it enough, prevention is better than cure, simple awareness and mindfulness can make the difference between coping with stress and developing a full blown mental health problem.
Time is precious, we know that taking time out of the curriculum for extra education is tough, so we will fit in with you. Whether you want us to be part of a PSHE day, or provide a 1 hour training slot once a term, we will do all we can to maximise the input for the time available.
We recognise that sometimes training is not enough. Sometimes more is required, and we are committed to providing high quality psychotherapy to students requiring more help. We can offer this service within your school, you provide the space and we provide the therapy. If this is a service you feel would be supportive please contact us for more information.
It is vital that we reduce the stigma surrounding mental health, People will be more likely to seek support when needed rather than wait until more damage is done. Also prevention is better than cure; the information we provide is designed to help prevent the development of mental health issues and help support understanding.
Help us prevent mental health issues arising by giving us the opportunity to work in your school. Please email for a confidential discussion or to book an appointment to talk to our training lead.
